    In the world, the application of ETFE membrane has a history of decades. It is suitable for construction of artificial nature, such as botanical garden and stadium etc. 

 

    1. Just like PVC and PTFE membrane, the ETFE membrane can be used in the form of single layer tensioning in application of membrane structure. The tension strength of ETFE material is not low, but the membrane is very thin ( the thickness is less than 1/5 that of knit membrane). So when we adopt single layer tensioning membrane structure, the structure span is much smaller than that of knitting membrane structure.

 

    2. Double layer or multi-layer air cushion
ETFE membrane is often made into double layer or multilayer air cushion in application of membrane structure. That is, according the designed shape and layer quantity, to cut and joint, then inflating interlayer’s space and make it be an air cushion. The shape of air cushion can be round, oval, triangle, rectangle, hexagon or any else shapes. It can form a huge covered space through jointing many air cushions with aluminum alloy frame or cable net.
